The Lloyd 4 All

Planning a Safer, More Connected Lloyd Expressway

INDOT and the EMPO have launched The Lloyd 4 All Study, a planning effort to determine the need for and scope of multimodal improvements surrounding the Lloyd Expressway to better serve vulnerable road users – whether they travel on foot, by transit, or by bicycle.

About The Project

What Is The Lloyd 4 All Study?

The Lloyd Expressway is essential for drivers, but it can be a barrier for everyone else. That’s why INDOT and the Evansville MPO have launched The Lloyd 4 All Study: a collaborative planning effort to improve safety, access, and connectivity for people who walk, bike, or ride transit. Spanning from US 41 to Epworth Road, the study will identify smart, community-informed solutions to reconnect neighborhoods, reduce risks, and make access to the Lloyd better for all.

Our Goals

What We’re Working Toward

Evaluating how people move today, and where they struggle.

Identifying short-term and long-term solutions to make travel safer.

Designing future-ready streets and crossings for everyone.

Making the Lloyd a connector, not a divider.

Ensuring access to key places like schools, parks, jobs, and homes.

This is a community-driven study. That means your feedback will directly influence the final recommendations. Whether you’ve biked across the Lloyd or just want safer ways to walk to the bus stop or store, we want to hear from you. We’ll be hosting public meetings, attending local events, and offering multiple ways to share your thoughts online or in person. Stay tuned for updates, and don’t miss your chance to help shape a safer, more connected future.
